چکیده

Objectives: Wide awake local anesthesia no tourniquet (WALANT) is a anesthetic technique that, in theory, reduces costs and surgical waiting periods. The purpose of this study was to compare axillary block (AXB) with WALANT terms pain scores, duration hospital stay, hand function patients who underwent CTR surgery. Methods: Between January 2015 February 2020, retrospective analysis conducted on the outcomes 410 CTS Walant utilized 210 patients, while AXB 200 patients. These two groups were compared regarding operative time, VAS score at specific intervals before after surgery, recovery. Results: mean operation time 11 min (8-18) for group 13 (7-43) group. Average length hospitalization 4.2 hours (2-6) 14.2 (9-26) groups. scores significiantly less than (p<0.05). percentages being able use their hands nonoperative evaluated. rates higher (65-75% vs. 45-60%). Conclusion: Increased patient comfort associated technique. It superior satisfaction, postoperative long-term management, Assuming all safety recommendations are adhered to, an alternative tourniquets surgeries obtaining bloodless field without discomfort application.

A Comparative Study of Carpal Tunnel Compliance

INTRODUCTION: Clinical studies of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), a pressure-induced neuropathy of the median nerve, are limited by the difficulty of evaluating the early stages of pathology. Thus, a validated animal model of CTS is an important need. A proper animal model would have comparable anatomy to the human carpal tunnel. In addition, because carpal tunnel syndrome is characterized by inc...

Median Nerve Injury Caused by Brachial Plexus Block for Carpal Tunnel Release Surgery

Carpal tunnel release is required to treat patients with severe carpal tunnel syndrome. The regional anesthesia of the upper limb by brachial plexus block (BPB) may be a good alternative to general anesthesia for carpal tunnel release surgery, because it results in less complications. However, the regional anesthesia still has various side effects, such as hematoma, infection, and peripheral ne...
